Sure, it's a giant marketing ploy.  But it works.

Budweiser has taken to viral videos and marketing ploys to help sell their product and have produced something geniunely cool with Poolball.  It's similar to BASEketball in terms of originality, but not nearly as mean or violent.  Instead, it combines pool with soccer and the invented sport actually looks interesting.

It might all be a joke, and certainly will get the company a lot of attention, but the fact that the company was able to completely make up a sport and make it look like something you'd want to take part in is worthy of recognition.  

The video is below and features all kinds of fun looking things to do with soccer balls decorated to look like billiards.
