Slowly but surely, Sega has been rolling out their past with a solid collection of games made available via the PSN and the Xbox Live Arcade. Today comes news that their Dreamcast collection will be headed that way in 2011.
An ad popped up last month surprising the world with what would soon be huge news, the unofficial confirmation that Dreamcast games would be ported to both the Xbox and the PS3. We've eagerly awaited confirmation from, well, any of the companies and today we received just that.
Sega's Alan Pritchard had an interview with Game Informer in which he stated, ""We actually have a Dreamcast collection coming out soon. We are looking to bring some of the old Dreamcast games to market digitally and packaged." Both the PSN and Xbox Arcade have seen solid response from fans regarding new addition of old titles, so the move isn't too surprising.
Unlike Nintendo, Sega has been a bit more open with their previous titles and efforts to bring those titles to fans has certainly paid off. New Sonic adventures seem to come out every year, with the latest rendition appearing on the Xbox 360 for their Kinect device.
We're still waiting for an official announcement for which titles, in particular, are to be released.
