Game Begins

Guitar Hero Rocks Naruto and FIFA

This week, Guitar Hero will Rock you.

Fans of the popular simulator game, Guitar Hero, are in for a big week this week.  Activision launches its newest version of Guitar Hero with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.  The game brings to the popular franchise classics of rock and roll, with the likes of Black Sabbath, Megadeath, Slipknot, Queen, and KISS.  The latest Guitar Hero also introduces a new mechanic, Quickplay+, which will allow gamers to get right to the heart of the action.

Also releasing this week is the latest fighter Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.  The incredibly popular anime lands yet another video game fighter in the likes of Street Fighter, and this sequel promises to deliver.  The first Ultimate Ninja Storm was a huge hit and Ninja Storm 2 ups the ante with more than 40 characters to select from.  Ninja Storm 2 also brings with it online multiplayer play, perfect for the avid fighter fans who love to hop online and kick some butt.

And speaking of kicking, FIFA Soccer 2011 finally hits consoles this week for soccer fans who just can't get enough of the classic gaming franchise.  FIFA 2011 brings with it Personality+, a way to incorporate in-game abilities which allows gamers to truly generate individual players which stand out from the others.  Also new to the FIFA series is Pro Passing, enabling the players to control and time their passes with skill.

Fans of zombie games will have to look no further than Dead Rising 2 to get their fill of death and destruction.  The sequel to the popular original Dead Rising hits both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 this week.

Smaller releases this week include Rapala Pro Bass Fishing and Patapon 3.  Rapala can be found on all three consoles while Patapon 3 lands home on the PSP system.

Hydrophobia, a game which was demo'd at this year's Fantastic Arcade lands on the Xbox Live Arcade this week as well.
