After taunting social media lovers with the prospect of Google+ invites, the search giant closed off invites after just a few hours.
The invites were displayed via a button located on their Google+ stream page, which quickly disappeared after Google announced the demands for the trial service were insanely high.
We brought you word of the new social media attempt by Google last year, and now that Google has pulled back the curtain we've been given a much bigger picture of what Google+ will be like.

Google hasn't yet announced when the trial service will return, or under what circumstances.
