The rumored Playstation Portable running Android OS has been officially confirmed thanks to the folks at Engadget.
Specs are still mostly unconfirmed, but it is being reported that the phone is sporting a 1GHz Qualcom MSM8655 chip, 512mb of ram, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is around 4". Most fascinating about the scoop is that the device won't be using the typical Sony Pro Duo sticks commonly associated with the PSP system for the last four years. Instead, the device will be supporting microSD cards.
No word on when the system will be released, whether in time for the holidays this year or next.
