Sony's recently announced NGP might be under a name change.
Rumors have an upcoming announcement at E3 renaming the popular handheld NGP (essentially the PSP2) to PS Vita. The change is an odd one, to say the least, but seems infinitely better than NGP.
Vita is apparently Latin for 'Life.'
It seems a bit strange to name the new Sony handheld PS Life, which we assume means Playstation Life, but on the other hand it does settle well with the NGP's original ideas of cloud-based gaming. The handheld is supposed to connect gamers to anywhere they have stored game files, whether the PSN or other locals.
The news came to light after it was discovered that Sony had purchased the domain 'psvita.com.'
Sony plans on making things official at E3, specifically on June 6th during the company's keynote.
